Sitting just the other side of Lizard Point from its better-known neighbour, Pentle Bay, is the equally lovely Rushy Porth. Being on the Scillies it almost goes without saying that this beach has beautiful pristine white sand, clear turquoise waters and is often-as-not empty.

From the beach are views across the water to the islands of St Martin's, Tean and St Helens. There are also a number of interestingly named smaller rocks not far offshore including Little and Great Cheese Rocks.

The beach is backed by low dunes and a grassy area beyond. Rushy Porth is located on the more remote eastern side of the island, although that remoteness is fairly relative on a small island. It actually only takes around 10 minutes to get here from Tresco Abbey Garden, or a little longer from the Quay.
