There are three settlements on little St Martin's: Upper, Middle and Lower Towns. Lower Town Quay is used at low tide, and is overlooked by the island's only hotel, Karma St Martin's. This means it's not the islands' most secluded spot; however, on Scilly, busyness is relative!

Like all the beaches on St Martin's, Lower Town has light-coloured sands and invitingly clear waters. On the west side of the island, there are lovely views across to Tresco. Pick up a picnic from the island's famous bakery then amble along to Lower Town.

Dogs on the lead are welcome on this beach all year.
