Priest's Cove is to the west of Cape Cornwall. It is a tiny fishing cove dominated by the bulking cliffs of the Cape.
The Cape and cove were donated to the National Trust by the Heinz food company in the 1980's.
Facing very much into the full force of the Atlantic the seas here are often rough and the currents strong. However, do not despair as there is a tidal swimming pool here. Accessible for a few hours either side of low tide this half natural / half man-made pool is perfect for a dip.
For experienced swimmers there is an annual swimming race between the cove and the outcrop of rocks known as The Brisons.
Toilets and a cafe can be found in the car park just above the beach.
