Close to the resort town of Looe is Millendreath Beach. A south facing beach Millendreath lies at the foot of a wooded valley in a sheltered cove that during low tide has pleasant soft sands and numerous rock pools to explore. However, at high tide the beach mostly disappears.

It is easy to access neighbouring beaches including Plaidy Beach using the South West Coast Path.

Millendreath is home to what was once a popular holiday village. Open from the 1950s through to the 1990s the resort became outdated and fell into decline. Work is now nearing completion on a regeneration project which has seen a thorough modernisation of the complex and rebranding as the Black Rock beach resort.

With reference to the reviews about parking. Stop complaining about getting a fine, you left the car park late, what do you expect?
The beach is nice, although it’s mostly flat pebbles, not sand (until the tide goes out). I would try and avoid the pool to the left, at low tide it can smell. Facilities are great, food was nice at the shack and watersports equipment hire was cheap. The staff are really friendly.

We called into Millendreath beach which was rather dissappointing, with one side of the valley covered with old holiday chalets. We parked our car in the completly empty car park and paid for an for an hour and left in what we thought was in good time, but apparently was 14 mins over. Just got a £60 fine!  Avoid this place at all costs. Its not worth the risk of going there with their aggressive parking policy, no wonder the car park was empty!

Premier Park owns the car park and I was charged £100 for over staying by 9min when x2 9 year olds were too slow to get ready in time.
