Guide to Cornwall's beaches

Flushing Cove

Flushing Cove on Gillan Creek
Flushing Cove
Flushing Cove, Helford
View across Gillan Creek to Flushing Cove

This small sand and shingle cove on Gillan Creek has wonderful views out towards the sea beyond. Fringed by the mature woodland of the Helford and with no parking nearby Flushing Cove has a rather secluded feel.
If you see anyone else on the beach it is most likely they are launching a boat or just passing through on the coast path.

Access to Flushing Cove isn't particularly easy, hence the lack of crowds. Even though the road runs right down to the beach there is absolutely nowhere to park here.

As a result there is nothing in the way of facilities here. Just a lovely, quiet riverside beach in beautiful surroundings.

Parking

There is no parking at all in the cove. You might find a parking space much further up the lane in Gillan but the best plan is to park in St Anthony in Meneage and walk round via the coast path.
