Mousehole Beach - West Cornwall

Whilst being one of the prettiest fishing villages in Cornwall Mousehole is not renowned for it's beaches. However, there are two beaches here - a pebbly/rocky beach with a small pool on the Newlyn side of town, in front of the Old Coastguard Hotel and a small patch of sand in the harbour.

Directions: From Penzance head along the Promenade towards Newlyn. Bare left along the harbour in Newlyn past the fish market and keep going for another mile or so.

Parking: There are 3 or 4 car parks in and around Moushole which are the only option given the narrowness of the streets and how busy it gets in the summer.

Surfing at Mousehole Beach

There is a right hand reef break by the harbour but it requires a hug South swell to break.
When it does break it can be quite ugly with lots of rocks in the wrong places

Facilities: Mousehole is a well established tourist destination and has a range of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops.
